  • Prayer: Behind the Scenes
What is prayer? If it doesn’t exist on any planet but ours and won’t exist in paradise, why do we have it now?
The Bible seems to paint a picture that prayer is a form of wartime communication technology. In this episode, we look at the story of Daniel, the value he placed on prayer and the supernatural elements we learn once the curtain is pulled back.

  • A Culture of Candor in Conflict
There are few characters with such renown in the religious world as the humble shepherd turned King David of Israel. But as with all great men, there are often turning points that if one emotion was followed over another, the story would have an entirely different ending.
David could have let fear triumph over courage. If he had, we would not have ever heard of the heroic story of David and Goliath. But there was another turning point in David’s life a few years later that arguably could have been just as pivotal. One could argue that because of the courage of one woman, we today still celebrate King David. Without this climax in David’s narrative, we would read an entirely different story in Scripture today.
Here’s the backstory and details on one of the most beautiful stories of candor, courage and conflict resolution that the gold mine of scripture possesses – The story of Abigail’s encounter with David and his mighty men.

  • I See Dead People
Here in America, we are pretty obsessed with this idea of death being nothing more than a gateway to the next life. Whether it’s zombies, the undead, ghosts, conjuring spirits or anything we celebrate on Halloween these days – death has become big business – especially the scary side of it. But then there’s the other side – the beautiful side – the idea of reconnecting with our loved ones.
Now if you’ve ever heard of the story of scripture – the real meta narrative you would know that this war between good and evil – love and selfishness – life and death started before humans arose on the scene. With this war, a large segment of the citizens of another realm were kicked out of the capital of the galactic realms.
And the bible basically tells us the inner workings of this war and it really comes down to who has the power over life…and death.

What if the 'dead' so many come in contact with and talk to are nothing more than the demon gods of the ancient world?

  • Hell Yes…or No?
There was a moment when the majority believed smoking was good for you. Now we know better. This pattern has been repeated in history over and over again as humanity gets wiser and has more experience. How about Hell? Its the greatest marketing campaign ever to get your act together or be lost. But is hell even real? Is it even in the Bible? The answer is no - not like what you’ve been told.
