“Neuroscience research shows that the only way we can change the way we feel is by becoming aware of our inner experience and learning to befriend what is going inside ourselves.”
First, I’m always attracted to research and science backing up what we call the “inner work” because so many want to dismiss it as subjective or just something you choose to believe in or not. No doubt, for the vast majority this type of defensiveness is a refusal (conscious or otherwise) to have the courage to self-reflect and therefore become who they are. More importantly, something is going on inside ourselves whether we want to acknowledge it or not, and it is having an impact. We can choose to be at war within ourselves or come to peace. No one said it would be easy. Life is not easy, but it is necessary for growth and what we could call renewal.
This podcast focuses on self-exploration and personal identity -- to help you construct who you are, and how you want to feel, think, believe, and behave for yourself. The book Who Do You Think You Are is also available at all major e-retailers, and you can find it at bigselfschool.com/store. Check out our two-hour classes on how to build resiliency, how to discover what you want, how to like yourself more, how to find calm, how to bounce forward after failure, and many more at bigselfschool.com.
