ACHA Referee-In-Chief Ed Giacomucci is the very special guest on this episode of The WCHL Podcast! Ed talks about growing up in hockey and how his love for the sport brought him to the officiating aspect of the game! Ed takes us through what the ACHA Referee-In-Chief does throughout the season and even provides a glimpse into what his typical week looks like when we're in season playing games! Finally, Ed is very passionate about the growing lack of hockey officials and has some ideas as to the root cause of why folks don't become officials as well as why ACHA players (men and women alike) are better suited than most to become on-ice officials after their playing days are done! And, oh yeah, Ed is from Philadelphia so there's a bit of Philly sports talk in there too! It's a great listen and we couldn't be more thrilled that Ed was kind enough to come on The WCHL Podcast!
