THE WCHL PODCAST

After waking up from an extended turkey nap, Chris & Andrew discuss the past week that was in WCHL games, juicy conference matchups, WCHL results from the Chicago Showcase, a new #1 in the M1 rankings, a conference race that is tightening up, and a look at the week ahead in terms of games involving WCHL teams! Of course, it wouldn't be a WCHL Podcast without some diversions in the conversation so prepare yourself for random talk of Christmas lights, Letterkenny, beer, Christmas movies, and maybe a sneak peek at matchups for WCHL teams at Nationals if it were held today. All that suboptimal content and so much more is sure to disappoint so fire it up and have a listen!

Chris and Andrew are back to talk The Week That Was in the WCHL with sweeps by UCO, UNLV, and UA, along with a split between OU and CSU! The guys also discuss the last coaches' ranking of the season, self-promoting non-Wizard math gurus, Cup or No Cup, Andrew's predictions for the next two weeks' worth of WCHL action, an incredible Tiny Desk Concert, visits from in-laws, along with a live look-in or three on some scintillating game action! All of that adds up to a ginormous yet still suboptimal podcast for your listening pleasure! Enjoy!

Andrew returns to The WCHL Podcast for another craptastic episode! He and Chris talk about the latest and greatest in ACHA news and rumors, The Week That Was in the WCHL with sweeps by UNLV, ASU, and CSU, splits between CU/OU and CSU/Midland, Utah's roadie to Michigan and Missouri State's roadie to NoDak! Boring M1 rankings, WCHL standings, Andrew's predictions for this week's games involving WCHL teams, along with some talk about Queen, meeting the Pope, future Stanley Cup finalists, potential broadcasting from the ACHA convention, and Spaghetti-Os puts the sub in suboptimal for this hour-long imposition of The WCHL Podcast!

Andrew is AWOL on this episode of The WCHL Podcast so its just The Commish solo, sorry to disappoint! Chris talks about recent ACHA news (Nashville!) and rumors (more M1 teams?) before diving knee-deep into the most recent ACHA M1 rankings - seven of the 10 WCHL teams are in the Top 25 so you'd think he'd be happy, right? After that, it's a quick recap of last week's games involving WCHL teams, a glance at the conference standings, this week's games involving WCHL teams plus some predictions texted in from Mr. AWOL himself, with a live look-in or two at the Missouri State at Minot State game! And who knew To Kill A Mockingbird was about hockey? "You just hold your head high and keep those fists down." The things you learn on this suboptimal podcast!

WCHL action has begun in earnest so Chris & Andrew are back again this week to discuss! Sweeps by UCO, UNLV, UA, OU, ASU, with a CU split at Oregon are all on the docket, but not before we talk some ACHA M1 news (Nationals through 2028!), some ACHA rumors (teams on the move?), and then Andrew's game predictions, Chris' music suggestions, and some Jelly Roll discussion that did not involve fruit fillings! Yup, just another crisp, suboptimal edition of The WCHL Podcast for your listening pleasure!

Another week, another suboptimal episode of The WCHL Podcast! WCHL Commissioner Christopher Perry and Andrew Magerkurth, definitely not "hockey guys", talk about the week that was in the WCHL! Sweeps by OU, CSU, CU, MSU, GCU, and a fun game in the desert between ASU and UA! Also on this pod, you'll find there's some ACHA M1 news, maybe some ACHA rumors, for sure some predictions, a bit of nonsense, weak game recaps, hot takes, even some recommendations for those long hours on the bus or plane! Basically everything you need to know before the WCHL season gets going in earnest this weekend!

Preseason polls! Teams joining ACHA M1 this season, some new, some old! New Nationals format! Game results! Weekend previews! Nationals predictions! On this episode of The WCHL Podcast, Chris is joined by former Missouri State Head Coach and current WCoUH Team Canada Assistant Coach Jeremy Law! They talk about the coaching staff selection process, how they selected the roster, how Team Canada is preparing before they get to Romania, the other teams in Group B with Canada, the different styles of play from province to province and whether that matters in international competition, airline legroom issues & more! Another informative episode but hey, we're not hockey guys, so what do we know, amirite?
