We are so pleased to welcome Helen Owen back on another Wealth Edit Wednesday! In this episode, Helen discusses the value of teaching your children about finances as they grow up by using examples from her own life. As a mother herself, Helen explains how important it is to equip your kids with tools about money for when they grow up and face the world. Discipline doesn’t have to be hard, it must be implemented, and by sticking to the boundaries you set, people will respect that and you will learn to respect that as well. Helen also encourages us to not be afraid to ask for help when needed. There is no shame in doing what you have to do to reach your goals and save. She shares the power of the “have 10, spend 9” method and how it instilled the practice of saving and working hard in her children to this day.  While navigating the path of motherhood, Helen also incorporated lessons like teaching her children the value of the dollar, earning what you want, and welcoming conversations about investing. This episode is packed full of wisdom and important money lessons including your children, so be sure to grab a pen and paper!
