“A Weary World Still Rejoices”
Isaiah 9:2-7
Luke 2:1-20
Christmas Eve
Rev. Teer Hardy
Rejoicing might look like showing up at church on a Wednesday night when it would have been easier to stay home.It might look like singing words you are not sure you fully believe yet.It might look like holding a candle and trusting that a small light is enough for now.
The joy of Christmas is not measured by volume. It is measured by presence.
And tonight, God is present.
In a few moments, we will sing Silent Night and hold light in our hands. Not because the darkness is gone, but because it has been met.
The weary still world rejoices, not because the night is over, but because God is with us tonight and every night to come. God is with you.
Amen.
