Life always feels a little bit better after an Oilers win, and given that the team has now won two in a row, the boys were in fine form on the Monday episode of Real Life. On today's podcast, the guys discussed the El Nino winter we're working through, the Oilers' two big wins, and some of the guys' favourite movies.
Kicking off the podcast, the boys started with a discussion about the weather in Edmonton and how it's truly bizarre to have temperatures above zero in late November. But since it's too warm to ski and too cold to golf, this purgatory period is so strange given that we're used to having snow right now. Changing gears, the guys looked back at the Oilers' last two games and how those two wins were crucial for not only their spot in the standings but also the sanity of the fanbase. Digging into those two wins, there were so many players who picked up goals and points at a time when they desperately needed them, and the hope is now that they'll be able to keep the good times rolling. Shifting topics once again, the guys looked at the upcoming schedule and how the Oilers have some huge games coming over the next week or so. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Monday episode of Real Life with a conversation about how sitcoms have all but disappeared, as it seems no one wants to write jokes that may age poorly.
