Episode five is called “The Wedding Gift”. In this episode, we find a lot of juxtaposition and symbolism. As Jesus’ ministry begins to rise; John the Baptist’s ministry is declining. We see Peter’s relationship with his wife Eden began to heal as he tells her about his call from Jesus. We are introduced to two new characters Thomas and Ramah. Nicodemus, curiosity about Jesus is on the rise as he questions John about the man responsible for the miracles. Lastly, in this episode we see Thomas questioning the methods of Jesus as He turns water into wine. The underlying theme behind the Wedding Gift is mother’s relationship with her son.
