  • The Book of Nehemiah #5
Chapter four of Nehemiah is about opposition and how to deal with it. It seems like whenever you’ve got an important job to do, something will inevitably come up to make the job even more difficult. Don’t you find that to be the case? And the more important the job, the bigger the obstacle, right? Why is it that, when you’re in the middle of what might be a mission from God, the adversary pops up out of the blue into a seemingly impossible mission?

  • The Book of Nehemiah #4
At this point, Nehemiah and his traveling party had been in Jerusalem for just a few days. They rested for three days, and then Nehemiah wasted no time getting to work. Nothing more is mentioned about the military escort that the king had provided. Maybe they returned to Shushan, or maybe they left to patrol nearby regions of the Persian empire. We don’t know; we’re just not told. I don’t think they stayed with Nehemiah, or else Nehemiah would not have felt it necessary to take some of the precautions we will read about today. So, open your Bible and join us for part four of this Bible study series on Nehemiah.

  • The Book of Nehemiah #3
Hello everyone and welcome to the Christian Educational Ministries Weekend Bible Study and our series on the Book of Nehemiah. Nehemiah led the Israelites into a respect and love for the text of Scripture. Because of his love for God and his desire to see God honored and glorified, Nehemiah led the Israelites towards the faith and obedience God had desired for them for so long. In the same way, Christians are to love and revere the truths of Scripture, commit them to memory, meditate on them day and night, and turn to them for the fulfillment of every spiritual need. Second Timothy 3:16 tells us, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. If we expect to experience the spiritual revival of the Israelites (Nehemiah 8:1&–8), we must begin with God’s Word. Join us now for the Book of Nehemiah part three with your host, Rich Glasgow.

  • The Book of Genesis #33
Hello everyone and welcome to the Christian Educational Ministries Weekend Bible Study. We hope you are enjoying this fascinating series on the book of Genesis. Among the broad subject matter throughout Genesis, we also find compelling anecdotes along the way, which capture our interest. Very often there may only be a few verses on any given subject that may cause us to question our template of beliefs. The brief account of Enoch, which we have already covered in this series, is one such case. We can’t fully understand what happened to Enoch, or Elijah for that matter, because God took both away. Such biblical accounts spur us on to a deeper study of God’s Written Word, and that is a very good thing. But know this, there will always be things in the Bible we can’t know and won’t know because mankind is on a need to know basis with God. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8–9 KJ2000 Now let’s join Wes White for the final part of his study on the Book of Genesis.
