We are covering texts 13 - 20 of Chapter 12 of Canto 1 of Srimad Bhagavatam (SB), Birth of Emperor Parikshit. In these verses, Srila Prabhupada talks about the importance of Samskaras (purificatory process to ensure good progeny), the role of Brahmanas (the pious and spiritually enlightened community) and the Kshatriyas (saintly political leaders). The hosts are Lalasamayi Mataji, Mathura Gokul Mataji and Krishna Kumar Prabhu. Recorded at ISKCON Sydney temple on Sunday 5th May 2019.

This is our launch episode for this show! Recorded at the temple few hours back, we go through verses 1 - 12 from Chapter 12 of Canto 1. This is a quick intro for this program before we formally launch in the next few days with the actual discussions of the temple Bhagavatam class. Srimad Bhagavatam is vast volume of spiritual literary work composed about 5000 years. The pages of these books containing 18,000 odd verses is aimed at uplifting anyone to spiritual perfection if they hear, read, contemplate and follow the teachings within it. All the Hare Krishna temples around the world spend about an hour every morning having discourses from this book. Our program is meant to discuss these classes from the Sydney temple.
