A recent survey indicated that doctors in India spend an average of 2 minutes per patient in the OPD. While this number is awfully short, the perception of 'busy' doctor is often tied to being a 'good' doctor and patients favour seeking their professional opinion, even if it is only for '2 minutes'.
It is obvious that as the facetime with a patient gets shorter and shorter, a doctor is bound to miss important clinical findings which will reflect in poor decision making.
In this huddle, we discuss that for a 'busy' doctor, how busy is too busy where it starts effecting patient care directly.
