This week on The Weekly Recharge, we’re covering a packed slate of new e-bike launches from Trek, Segway, and Moustache.

Trek introduced two new models, including the ultralight Domane+ SL carbon road e-bike, which weighs as little as 24.5 pounds and can be configured with an optional larger battery for up to 115 miles of claimed range. We also take a look at Trek’s new Inbound+ lightweight city e-bike, which pairs Bosch’s new Hubline motor with removable battery options, cargo capability, and multiple drivetrain configurations.

Segway also unveiled the new Muxi Pro, an upgraded version of the Muxi packed with technology. The Pro adds automatic shifting, front suspension, turn signals, regenerative braking, hill descent control, hill-start assist, traction control, GPS tracking, AirLock, Loss Mode, and more.

We also check out the new Moustache Lundi 27, a lightweight Dutch-style city cruiser that updates one of the French brand’s original e-bike designs with a Bosch Hubline motor, removable battery, Gates belt drive or Shimano drivetrain options, and integrated security technology.

This week on The Weekly Recharge, we’re talking about Illinois’ new rules for high-powered e-motos, Rad Power Bikes’ owner launching a crowdfunding campaign, Trek’s new Europe-only Allant+ FS, and whether e-bike tracking features can actually help recover a stolen bike.

This week on The Weekly Recharge, we’re covering a packed lineup of new e-bike news, new bikes in testing, viewer questions, trail recommendations, and deals.

Volkswagen-branded e-bikes are now available for preorder through N Plus, with two new models called the Sport and Crossover. Both bikes include Yamaha mid-drive motors, integrated lighting, Apple Find My compatibility, security features, optional range extenders, and some seriously high-tech extras like rear radar, a rear-facing camera, smart helmet compatibility, and smart glasses with a heads-up display.

We also take a look at the new Tern HSD Gen 3, a midsize longtail cargo e-bike with Bosch Gen 5 motors, vertical storage, room for one passenger, and a wide rider fit range from 4’11” to 6’9”.

Plus, the CPSC is moving toward electronic certification filing for imported e-bikes and micromobility devices, which could change how imported products are reviewed for safety compliance.

Specialized also announced new Turbo Vado IG models in Europe, featuring internal gear hubs, Gates belt drives, big batteries, mid-drive motors, and low-maintenance commuter setups.
