Bungie held their Twitch stream today to showcase a load of changes happening in the Crucible sandbox. Shotguns and pulses got nerfed. Auto rifles were buffed. Economies changed. And Bladedancers are the new fusion rifles. zswiggs and UnOfficialTonyP breakdown all of the changes, discuss the implications on the game that they will have, and give their thoughts and opinions.
We’re back after a week off (I was sick, sorry) but the timing is perfect! New placeholders on Amazon for what appears to be the next MegaBlocks set revealed some pretty interesting story elements. Is this a new live event, or is this a preview of Destiny 2? We discuss. Plus – which raid boss is the most annoying. We make the ultimate list (we even include Skolas ’cause we’re nice like that).
Iron Banner is here to keep us entertained for another week. Arms, Chests, Rocket Launchers, and sidearms abound in this Clash edition. Bungie also deployed a small Hotfix (to fix Xur) and made a very small hint about the future of updates. Also, this week’s Nightfall is finally fun!!
Hey, guys! Xur is still broke! But this week, we’re cutting Bungie some slack. But first – the official ESL rules for playing Destiny competitively. We like them. A lot! Recently, a lead engine engineer at Bungie had a 2-hour long talk a game conference all about the engine powering Destiny – and the details are crazy. We break down the technical jargon and discuss exactly how bad their engine is, how it’s a miracle that Destiny was even made in the first place, and if it’ll get better for Destiny 2. We also dive deep into the lore of the mission “Paradox” and start the hype train on Luke Smith’s storytelling ability and the future of Destiny 2.
It’s the first reset after the Dawning has ended, so… what now? We discuss the future of Destiny, answer some fan questions, wonder how Bungo could have messed up with Xur so badly, and what do you do if you have 193 Sparrow Racing Ornaments?
It’s the final week of the Dawning and Bungie had one surprise left with Fortunes appearing. What do they mean? We discuss. We also recap everything the Dawning has to offer. Each new sparrow, shader, emblem and track. Plus, Strike scoring has changed Destiny in the best way possible. So what’s next? Where’s our vault space? We discuss this as well.
Bungie surprised us on Saturday by revealing way more than just Sparrow Racing, they announced a whole event known as The Dawning. The Dawning is bringing updated Strikes and a new way to play them, in addition to SRL, 11 new Sparrows, new armor, new exotics and the ICEBREAKER IS BACK! zswiggs and UnOfficialTonyP break down everything you need to know, including all of the new strikes. Slightly overshadowed by The Dawning announcement, Iron Banner is back this week and the game is Rift. Prepare for a pounding unless you’re in a fireteam – that vendor loot though… so sweet.
After a week of vacation, zswiggs and Tony P are back to talk Destiny. It’s a pretty slow news week, but there is some discussion to be had in the Crucible. Bungie broke down how their matchmaking algorithm works and we aren’t buying it. We question if Bungie even plays their own game. Plus, a Raid drinking game, what Bungie is thankful for and we speculate on SRL before the announcement this weekend.
We nerd out again this week about Iron Banner. What maps were in rotation, how were the blueberries, and was your loot abundant? Clever Dragons fell like manna from heaven. Was that a good thing and should all primaries be buffed to feel as powerful as that renowned Iron Banner pulse? We discuss. Bungie pulled the ultimate troll this week by placing guardians who played Trials of Osiris into First Light. Sparrow kills were in everywhere and shotgun usage was way down! Will Trials go back to normal this weekend? We also spend a lot of time watching some amazing and hilarious videos from the Destiny community. Sparrow kills, don’t go inside a Titan’s bubble, you can get from Frontier to Twilight Gap, and you can kill a guardian with an unexploded grenade! We’ll be back in two weeks! Have a great Thanksgiving!
Are you hyped about the return on Iron Bananananana? CAUSE WE ARE! Grab your fireteam and head into Control to get your sweet loot. We break down the best loadouts, and the best way to have the most fun! Plus, Deej released the Aksis challenge at reset so w’ve got a full review and instructions on how to complete the newest addition to Wrath of the Machine. We also discuss the possibilities of a future Destiny and a rant about the Matador 64.
