When a crisis hits, here is the playbook. You won’t like it. That’s not the point.

Rule one: Stay quiet. Not mysterious. Strategic. However tempted, just keep yuhself quiet. What you say will be used against you.

Rule two: Get ahead of it before it runs you over. Everyone has a camera. Stay still until you’re ready to strike.

Rule three: Take control. Keep it simple. Own it, apologize, mean it. Then stop talking.

If you don’t give it air, the fire can’t burn.

That’s the playbook. Most people skip step one. That’s why we exist.
