The Well - Messages

Before Jesus started his earthly ministry, He was baptized and spent 40 days fasting and praying. Before He faced His greatest trial on the cross, He prayed all night. Over and over throughout the Bible, we see that Jesus prayed first, then did whatever was needed. We want to pattern our lives to match the patterns of Christ’s — this year, let‘s pray first.

Christmas at The Well

There are four weeks of Advent that lead up to Christmas, each representing one of the major themes of Christ’s coming: hope, love, joy and peace. This year for Christmas, we will be looking through the lens of our culture — and of movie cameras — to find the mystery of Christmas all around us. Come join us this year for “Christmas at The Movies.”

Thank you to all who serve and make The Well great!

Through the prophet Jeremiah, God told the Israelites who were living abroad to pray and work for the peace and prosperity of the city/nation where He had sent them into exile, because its welfare would determine their own (see Jeremiah 29:7). That can help us understand the weight of our own civic responsibility today. But if we aren’t careful, we can overemphasize civic responsibility and lose sight of God’s promises and sovereignty.
