Our culture today is all about winners and losers. People skip to the end of debates to see whose argument prevailed. They cheer on their favorite sports team, and then act like it’s the end of the world when they don’t win the championship. Well, Pastor Jeff reminds you today that the Lord doesn’t ask you to seek victory over false teachers. Instead, God’s Word tells you to challenge a false teacher, and if they won’t repent and turn away from their false doctrine, to turn away yourself, and avoid their influence.
The concept of mentoring is familiar and quite popular. But it may be helpful to remember that real mentoring (or discipleship in the biblical sense) involves commitment, intentional effort, and practical action on the part of those involved.
What happens when your life starts to spiral and you lose sight of who you are? For many teens, struggles with identity, relationships and loss can lead them down difficult paths. In today's show, Mark sits down with two Heartlight teens who open up about feeling lost and disconnected — from themselves and from those they love. For Tiller, losing her sense of purpose led to addiction and a broken relationship with her mom. Both are on a journey of healing, self-discovery and rebuilding their most important relationships. Listen in now!

Some people just want to try a little bit of Jesus. As though Christianity was one of the dishes at a religion buffet. “Give me just a small scoop of that. I just want to bring a smile to my face, not a change to my heart.” But when we truly invite Jesus in, He’ll make us new people, head to toe, free from the chains of our past. And today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie helps us watch that moment of transformation in a man who’s best efforts had come up short.
