Depression among teens is rising rapidly, with major studies showing increasing rates of persistent sadness, anxiety and even suicide. Today, Mark Gregston and Wayne Shepherd explain that depression doesn’t always have obvious warning signs, which is why parents must stay closely connected and ask deeper questions beyond “How are you?” Mark highlights common indicators like withdrawal, changes in sleep/eating habits, loss of interest, anger, risky behavior and talk of death. Always take suicidal statements seriously — especially if a teen has a plan. Parents can’t “fix” depression alone, and seeking professional help quickly (and using resources like the 988 crisis line) can save a life.

Prayer is a privilege. God invites us to pray...with boldness. He invites to seek, ask and knock. But sometimes our prayers can be derailed. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie helps us investigate those factors that can keep our prayers from reaching God’s throne. We’re in a practical series of lessons in the Gospel of Mark titled, The Gospel for Busy People. And today, we’ll see how to undergird our prayers with faith and with a proper attitude and respect for our God.

Deep sorrow often stems from the silence of God in our darkest hours. Even our redeemer faced the agony of unanswered prayer. In this message from Mark 14, Pastor Lutzer reveals three lessons on receiving trials from God's hand, the necessity of silence, and finding grace to endure. Could a "no" from Heaven may be God's most merciful way of hearing us?

The gospel moves us beyond Sunday pews and into our Monday mess. Ephesians 6 reveals how the light of Christ saturates every human relationship. In this message, Pastor Philip Miller explains the ancient household code in Philippians. See why the same Bible was used to both defend and dismantle modern-day slavery.
