On this episode of The Verdict, Pastor John Munro concludes our study on the Miracles and Teaching of Jesus by exploring the differences between those who belong to the family of God and those who are living in darkness.
When you were first filled with the Holy Spirit, a flame was lit within your soul. But that first encounter with the Holy Spirit was just a spark. You need a continuous re-filling of His Presence if that flame is going to last in the long term. In today’s message, Pastor Jeff wants you to learn about the importance of being constantly filled with God’s presence, because the filling you received a week ago isn’t going to help you get through today. You need a new outpouring of the Spirit each and every day.
There’s always new evidence that we live in a broken world. The good news is that God’s promised to make all things new—and that includes our physical bodies. Philip De Courcy proclaims the promise that one day Christians will be like Jesus Christ—perfect in body, mind and spirit!
Mark Gregston explains that today’s self-help culture constantly tells kids they’re “not enough,” fueling anxiety, confusion and a relentless pressure to perform. He reminds parents that Scripture points to God’s sufficiency and unconditional grace — our kids don’t need to earn their worth. One of a parent’s most important roles is to consistently communicate, through time, presence and validation, “You are enough.” When children feel fully known, loved and affirmed at home, they’re far less likely to search elsewhere for value.
