For many college students, the first year is tricky as they adapt to new environments, people, routines, responsibilities, etc. For Jordan, she found that it was very much the case in her experience as she was met with new challenges that she learned to overcome. These challenges included moving away from home and learning to take responsibility for her schedule and priorities, among other things. Through it all, Jordan grew to understand her identity and where she found it mattered. Despite the challenges, she learned many life lessons that changed her into the person she’ll be in year two of college.
For anyone currently in college, thinking about college, or even entering a new season of life, Jordan offers some wise counsel from her own experience in the hopes that it will benefit someone else.
Did anything Jordan talked about resonate with you, whether or not you are a college student, soon-to-be college student, or someone entering a new season of life?

They share how modesty can be practically applied as Christian men and women. They give practical advice about how we can encourage our friends, while still honoring God in the way we dress, discerning between the world’s standards of beauty and modesty, and God’s.
“Do not let your adorning be external- the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear- but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.“1 Peter 3:3-4
