Today I am speaking with Alia again, Master of Psychology and expert in communication, about a very BIG subject: BOUNDARIES! For some of us, they are really hard to create and even harder to uphold.
We will chat about commitments, speaking your truth, taking care of YOU, assertiveness, and also HOW to kindly respect yourself in front of others.
Today I am chatting with Brian Friedman, who is the founder and co-owner of Redefined Yoga, an amazing Functional Yoga platform online. He has over 30 years of experience in yoga and is the inventor & developer of Functional Yoga Instruction.
We are chatting about balance, grounding, and a whole lot of breathwork to help you with your mental health and support your overall wellbeing. And remember, none of this is medical advice ;)
Here are the links you need to find Brian and his amazing, virtual yoga studio:

Catch Part 2 next week, where we talk more about the feminine flow and how to rekindle it if you'd like to get back into this flow state.
In this episode, we are chatting with Alia and Mark, two amazing humans who alchemized trauma into healing power! Mark is a USMC and law enforcement veteran who currently works at a treatment center for other veterans, active duty, and first responders as a clinician. He’s currently a licensed chemical dependency counselor intern working on his licensed professional counselor certification, and will graduate with his master's in clinical mental health counseling next month.
Alia has a bachelor's with a dual emphasis in psychology and communication and a master's in psychology. She worked in the social services field for many years. She started as a peer counselor when she was in high school, then worked at a domestic violence shelter shortly after high school, and worked in and around child protection and foster family support for about 10 years, during which we became foster and then adoptive parents. Alia now works as a licensed tattoo artist and still utilizes her listening & communication skills today.
We talk about the connection between HSP & PTSD, the struggles of an HSP with PTSD, and how someone with PTSD can be an amazing support for others struggling with the same.

In this episode, we are talking about the five different love languages and how intricate they can be for HSPs. Mastering the understanding, giving, and receiving of such is a huge advantage in any relationship, whether with your partner, friends, co-workers, family, or in a group.

In this episode, I speak with Heidi, a CPT (Certified Personal Trainer), nutrition coach, transformation specialist, and female hormone health specialist from AK.
She owns Anchor Point Gym: https://www.anchorpointgym.com/
And her own coaching business here: https://changingtidesfitness.com/
She will share her personal story about her ADHD diagnosis and how women are presenting very different symptoms, which can be hard for most of us to be seen as ADHD. Hormones play a factor in it all, and if you are an HSP on top of it, you might think that your symptoms are just “you”. This is not medical advice by any means, so speak to a professional about any concerns. Here are some resources Heidi mentions in our chat:

We are discussing this with our beautiful Anika and Jess, a veteran, stunt-woman, actress, and voice actor, and also a Master's in Psychology. She has her own Podcast under "German Chocolate - Life of a Mixed Girl". In this episode of the Wellness Amazon podcast, I speak with registered dietitian Kristine about the intricate connections between nutrition, mental health, and the experiences of highly sensitive people (HSPs). We explore how diet impacts mood, the importance of key nutrients, and practical strategies for managing emotional eating and decision fatigue. The conversation emphasizes the significance of mindfulness, meal prep, and hydration in maintaining overall well-being, particularly for those who are HSPs.
Practical Tipps:
Eat the rainbow daily - more color means more brain-protective phytonutrients
Prioritize omega-3s - aim for 2–3 servings of fatty fish per week or supplement as needed
Ditch the ultra-ultra processed stuff - look for foods with fewer ingredients
Add a fermented food daily - yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut or kimchi
Stay hydrated - even mild dehydration can impair mood and focus
Regular Exercise: Boosts mood and reduces anxiety.
Sleep: 7–9 hours per night supports brain and hormone function.
Mindfulness or Meditation: Helps manage stress and emotional eating.
Social Connection: Shared meals and community support both mental and emotional health.
