In the climactic fourth and final study in Psalm 110, we witness the conquest of David's Adonai — Jesus Christ — over four enemies: kings, nations, Satan, and death itself. Tracing threads from Genesis 3:15's first gospel promise through Balaam's oracle, Psalm 2, and Paul's letters, we discover that Christ's reign advances through both crushing judgment and gracious conversion. Along the way we uncover the true meaning of "be still and know that I am God," the Hebrew wordplay behind the serpent's crushed head, and why Christ's cup of suffering leads to His exaltation. Christ the King remains undefeated.

In this third installment on Psalm 110, we examine the royal army (v. 3) that accompanies David's Adonai—identified as the church itself: willing, holy, born again, and innumerable. We then turn to the priestly session (v. 4), unpacking the solemn oath God swears to His Son, the eternal covenant of redemption (pactum salutis), and the doctrine of divine immutability. Finally, we trace the mysterious priest-king Melchizedek from Genesis 14 to Christ, showing how His eternal priesthood surpasses the Levitical order—securing believers in the unshakable, unchanging promises of God.

No obedience, rituals, or works are required beforehand. Paul demonstrates remarkable patience, wisdom, and humility, bringing Titus as living proof that faith alone suffices. The apostles Peter, James, and John give his message their full endorsement with the right hand of fellowship, confirming one gospel for all.
