In this episode, the Ex-Evangelical Queer Artist talks about coming of age in Colorado Springs and Florida with Evangelical Missionary parents. We get into how their parents modeled loved for them and their siblings, how God played an ever-present role in how they felt romantic love, and how it affected them growing up. Today, the Ex-Evangelical Queer Artist is happily dating a trans woman, after a string of "stereotypically good looking gay men", and even though love can still feel overwhelming, has found someone to build something new with.

In this episode we get into how some people don't feel certain things in the same way, such as jealousy, and what this may mean for the type of relationship that will work best for different people. The Curious, ENM, Ex-People Pleaser recounts how her upbringing made her feel like success in love and life was only on track when it followed a very rigid structure. Now, as an adult, she has realized that she doesn't isn't actually always attracted to the stereotypical, Disney-prince-type, and the types of relationships she is looking for these days instead.

In this episode, I catch with the Friend Who Can't Let Go Of Love, and you know what? Thank God! We get into why therapy works, how she finally let go of D and even though it was scary as hell, put herself onto the dating apps (for the first time ever), only to get swooped up almost immediately. Therapy works. Dating apps work (apparently). Love is real. If you have been feeling down about love, this is the episode you need right now.

In this episode we talk about how early love is not always the kind of love you want to end up in, how to express yourself, put yourself out there, and to build something with another person outside of yourself. The Adventurous Pansexual Drag King talks about performing, how she met her girlfriend, and how their relationship is blossoming thanks to good, and very, very honest communication.

In this episode I call up someone I have known since we were high school baddies together. The Chip-Off-Her-Shoulder Bisexual Love-At-First-Sight Mother of Four Children and I talk about how the chip got on her shoulder in the first place, what it was like going to med school as one of the poor kids, to chuck the chip off her shoulder, and fall in love at first sight with her now-husband, and the father of their four children. We talk about how modeling healthy relationships sometimes can skip a generation, but that doesn't mean you can't come back to it, and how they are trying to make sure that their children see a healthy way of love, that involves conflict, resolution, and a deep admiration for one's partner, #captainamerica.

In this episode that is 90% giggles, we catch up with the Friend Who Is Skeptical Of Love and find out why this is still the case. The liberties the men in these stories take is quite frankly flabbergasting, or maybe they're just medium-smart. Either way, it's good that enough time has passed that the Friend Who Is Skeptical Of Love can laugh about it now.

In this episode I catch up with the Friend Who Loves Love. After getting married within the last year, a horrible tragedy occurred just two weeks after "I do". We talk about how she navigated this hurt during her newlywed year, how her and her partner got through it, and how he was there to catch her, even when it wasn't always easy. Sometimes a hurt is so immense, that you don't know how you will come out on the other end, but you can choose who comes with. The Friend Who Loves Love, still very much does.

In this episode I speak with someone who grew up in the South, where being gay wasn't an option. Though he felt like something was missing from his life, the Southern Gay Scientist didn't start to realize what it was until he hit college, and a lot of things started to fall into place. Now, in a long committed, and recently-ish open relationship of more than a decade, we talk about opening up without premeditation, how they have navigated this, and how it feels to be able to call someone home.

I decided to ask everyone I know about love. And with every voice I listen to, I may be getting closer to understanding the question: What is love?
