Episode 21. If a criminal on the loose is "at large," is a criminal in prison "at small?" Kyle teaches us about the new Marvel Comics app. Melissa teaches us about mutant corn, which sadly is not a new X-Man but a real agricultural phenomenon. We talk about fear vs. will in the end of Lanterns, Robert Pattison screaming in Primetime, and how Digger was made for weird art kids. Episode 20. Finally, Melissa makes good on her threat to make Kyle watch Sam Raimi's Darkman! This 1990 movie is an original story that plays on pulp comic tropes, featuring goons galore, vats of acid, and a hero who may be more monster than man. This leads us to discuss Jingle All the Way, a museum of henchmen, Tuxedo Mask, why DC Comics character The Question looks like that, and other stories we wish took place in Megalopolis. We also talk about new releases Coyote vs. ACME and Resident Evil, the Emmy awards, how the sinkhole underneath Nicolas Cage's real house should inspire National Treasure 3, replacing movie marketing with an informational newsletter that all adults are required to read, and Daffy Duck: Origins.

Episode 17. We're talking about all the -Men today: Spider, Wonder, Plastic, Wicker, etc. Kyle has finally finished the under-discussed Apple TV bottle drama Servant. Melissa is bringing back Mad Libs. We discuss Spider-Man: Brand New Day, where we'll see a Spider-Man next (and which one??), and what if Sandman is the literal bedrock upon which Battle World is built. We also cover the trailers for Primetime, Wicker, and the Thomas Crown Affair, and then fail to talk about anything besides Marvel: theories for X-Men cast announcements at D23, how Wonder Man should come back as the Xavier School's drama teacher, how the Xavier School should have a nosy neighbor who doesn't mean the X-Men any harm but gets angry when you touch his garden, what if Marvel bought an obscure unrelated pulp character and pretended they were always part of the universe, and all the complicated legal reasons for what Marvel characters can be at Disney World vs. Universal Studios.

Episode 16. It's a monumental episode as we discuss massive film news and films shown massively. We talk about The Odyssey, and Melissa traveling to Indianapolis to see it in 70mm. Marvel revealed new heroes at their Comic-Con panel, but we still have questions: What do those Latverian witches mean? When will the X-Men play baseball? What if the new X-Men are all teens and Charles Xavier is only 22, like he's their camp counselor? What does Starlord do for fun now that he's back on Earth? Is cosmic bowling the same after you've actually been to space?? We also discuss Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, the trailers for Behemoth!, Digger, Lanterns, and Clayface, a bad day for Oscar, and a trippy art museum experience.

We also talk about the final season of The Bear, which felt good and had all our friends in it, but not a single Star Wars force ghost. Further topics include: men who are only a few years younger than us but we'll call them "the boy" forever, how good it must feel to be the DVD logo that hits the corner of the screen just right, what if Phineas & Ferb solved all your movie's problems and then there was no movie, and briefly slowing down an F1 race because an umbrella blew onto the track.

In recent media, we talk about Mandolorian & Grogu, I Love Boosters, Backrooms, Spider-Noir, and in old media, Melissa explains Cape Fear, a movie that inspired an episode of The Simpsons that inspired a play, and also in another timeline, inspired a TV show that hasn't even premiered yet but we're worried it won't have enough Patrick Wilson in it. We also discuss Pizza the Hutt, flash mobs in space, Sam Raimi movies that aren't based on DC comics but sound like they are, YouTube videos in IMAX, Oscar's Year, and what movie is butter.
