Jake and Cody go around sports media and discuss top stories around the country.

In the final hour Jake and Cody go around the NFL and discuss the top stories going into week 1. They then talk about Davis Mills as the Texans starting quarterback and if he can fit as the franchise guy. Midway through the final hour the guys play some Quick Hits and discuss top stories around sports media. To end the show they give out the "Champ of the Day" award.  

In the third hour the guys react to today's loss for the Astros against rival Seattle Mariners. Later they continue their conversation about Jake Odorizzi's comments over being pulled out of last nights game early. At the halfway point into the hour ABC Jacksonville Sports Anchor Mia O'Brien joins The Wheelhouse to discuss Trevor Lawrence and Urban Meyer.  Then to finish out hour three they go over expectations for the Texans this upcoming season. 

To start the second hour they talk about Astros pitcher Jake Odorizzi's comments following last nights win over the Mariners. They react to Jake being frustrated with Dusty Baker pulling him from the game after only 5 innings. They then move on and take some time to discuss the future of the Texans. Midway through the hour The Athletic CFB Editor-in-Chief Stewart Mandel joins The Wheelhouse to discuss college football. Then to finish out the hour they go over teams who could be interested in trading for Deshaun Watson. 

At the top of the show Jake and Cody go over today's moves made by Texans GM Nick Caserio. They discuss moving starting corner Bradley Roby to New Orleans and bring in Danny Amendola. They move on to tomorrow's matchup between the Cowboys and the Bucs and discuss what challenges both teams have to deal with for this upcoming season. Then to finish out the hour they go around the league and talk about upcoming games.

Mia O'Brien joins the show to talk Trevor Lawrence and how he will fare in the NFL this season as they look ahead at the Jaguars Week 1 showdown with the Texans.

Stewart Mandel joins The Wheelhouse to discuss college football with Jake and Cody. 

In the final hour the guys start by going over stories throughout the NFL. They answer more questions on the Texans upcoming season such as how Tim Kelly will fare as Texans OC. Midway through the show they show they have some fun with Quick Hits where they go over stories around sports media. Toward the end of the show the guys answer one more Texans question, " Who is the best player on the Houston Texans?" And to end the show the guys nominate the new Champ of the Day. 

In hour three they continue their discussion over tonight's lineup in Mariners vs. Astros game. They then talk about Texans working out veteran WR Danny Amendola and the Texans chances this season. Midway through the show former NFL GM Randy Mueller joins the Wheelhouse and discusses the Deshaun Watson situation. To finish the hour they go over the Texans schedule and how their record could look at the end of the season. 

To start the second hour Jake and Cody go over the lineup for the Astros in tonight's game and react to Chas McCormick starting over the red hot Jake Meyers. They move on and talk about the why they believe the Bucs are the best team in football and why. Later on in the second hour they play the segment "Pour It Up, Pour It Out" and go over college football topics. Near the end of the hour they share a theory they have that one draft choice in 2019 could've made the Texans contenders this season.
