• Ruth, the Moabite, first joins herself to Naomi and Israel’s God.
• Naomi guides Ruth’s life toward Boaz.
• Ruth is tested for her virtue.
• Ruth meets Boaz, her kinsman redeemer.
• Ruth has nothing but Boaz is rich and powerful.
• Boaz “purchases” or “redeems” Ruth to be his Bride.

• Ruth is married to Boaz who is her kinsman redeemer.
• Ruth the Gentile marries Boaz the Jew.
• Ruth is brought fully into Israel as the great- Grandmother of King David
• Ruth and Boaz ultimately become the ancestors of Jesus Christ
