The party manages to make it out of the Barrens, minds reeling over the possibilities of what caused the moon to be dyed pink as they arrive in Vale Forest. It's lush wilderness the source of many urban legends, they learn for themselves whether they are truth or fiction. 

The party is attempting to get some rest at the local inn when a pack of hellhounds rushes the streets of the border town, reminding them the war might be over but the fiends are far from gone. They receive help from an unexpected ally.

The party finds themselves in the military encampment at the same time as King Janus, the King of Lamastas and learn the fate of their missing acquaintance who is being renowned as a hero, Odwyn Redonis, is currently missing and wild magic has been unleashed upon the country. 

The ten-year war has just ended in the kingdom of Lamastas, the neighboring kingdom of Kairis forced to back down and the portal to the Hells that had unleashed an army of fiends has been sealed by the most unlikely of heroes, Lieutenant Odwyn Radonis. Our party, bonded together by fate and acquaintance with the missing hero have awoken to learn much has happened while they slumbered.
