At the end of November, one of the Dams on the Madison River in Montana had a malfunction that caused the river to almost run completely dry. This was a big scare for the local community as the fishery was facing challenges. In this episode, we talk with our friend Connor Flanagan--a Madison River local--about what exactly happened and what the long-term effects will be on the fishery. 

Bryant and Steve talk about all the excitement they had leading up to the trip. Also what they have learned from the last short bus trip and how many improvements have been made to the current trip. In October, I was able to sit down with one of my favorite bands ONA.  Ona is a 5 piece band from West Virginia who all grew up in the same hometown. They released their first album in 2016 and have since released their second album in 2019. They have toured with artists such as Tyler Childers, Caamp & Houndmouth. A few days before this recording they had played their first-ever Red Rocks show. We talked about what that experience was like and how they formed as a band. 2 of the band members, 'Jeeter' and Zach, are actually big fly fishermen and we got to hear all about the fly fishing in their hometown. They also talked about the realities of being on tour and how they have been able to find time to fly fish while on the road. It's an awesome conversation and was really fun to hear the parallels that fly fishing and music shared with one another. I hope you enjoy it!

Chase and Aimee Bartee are Award-Winning Adventure Filmmakers and owners of Tight Loops. They have produced some of the best fly fishing films out there and have recently released, their award-winning film, BIG LAND on YouTube.
