I offer you a poem inspired by the god Pan to explore the human archetype of the wild self and the primal impulses that exist within us all. Modern life pressures us to contain and manage this untamed side, arguing that suppressing it can make it surface in harmful ways, while acknowledging it can become a path to balance and growth. Through prose I invite you to consider what parts of yourself you hide or label shameful, and to use mythology, story, and perspective to process and integrate them.
