The Wild Way

The wild way to healing isn’t a straight line. It’s winding, raw, and often lonely—marked by grief, wonder, and the quiet courage it takes to start again. Hosted by award-winning author and story practitioner Michael McRay, this unpolished, soul-rich podcast is a companion for anyone navigating life’s wild in-between.

Inspired by his 2025 book The Wild Way: Navigating the Space Between the Old Story and the New, Michael invites you into his personal honest reflections of walking the wild way as well as conversations with extraordinary guests—mythologists, wilderness guides, peacebuilders, somatic healers, and fellow storyworkers.

With Michael, you'll explore the wild way to healing: how we make meaning from pain, rewild our lives, deconstruct what no longer fits, and court the long-lost Wild Twin within. If you’re hungry for stories that name what hurts and point toward what’s possible, you’re in the right place.

Because the way out is through.

And we’re not in a rush to get out of the woods.
