As we head into a new season, it can be easy to look at everything on our plate and wonder, Can I actually do this?
In this episode, I’m sharing a little bit of what has been going on in my own heart as I’ve looked ahead to another homeschool year, a full calendar, and all the responsibilities that come with this season of life. What started as overwhelm led me to a deeper question: What do I really believe about God?
Because often, when we’re standing on the edge of something new, the lies get louder.
I can’t do this.
I’m not capable.
I don’t have what it takes.
But what if those lies are really just lies?
Together, we’ll talk about the fear and overwhelm that can come with a new season, the deeper lie hiding underneath those feelings, and why God’s presence changes everything.
If you’ve been looking ahead and feeling a little overwhelmed, a little uncertain, or a little afraid, I hope this episode feels like a deep breath and a reminder from a friend of things you probably already know—but maybe just needed a little encouragement to remember.
In this episode, we’ll talk about:
* Why new seasons can feel overwhelming
* The deeper lie hiding underneath “I’m not enough”
* What overwhelm reveals about what we believe about God
* Why we don’t need to have the whole season figured out before we begin
* How the Good Shepherd leads us one step at a time
* Why you can do hard things because God is with you
A question to consider:
What are you believing about the season ahead?
And what might change if you truly believed that God is with you, He is good, and He will not abandon you?
Because I want you to know this:
You are capable, and God is with you.
And I think that means so much more than we realize.
