If I am in Christ, should people notice a difference in the way I treat them? Ephesians 4 gets very practical: humility, patience, honesty, forgiveness, kindness, self-control, and building others up. Our relationship with Christ changes our relationships with people. Because I belong to Jesus, I don't have to treat people like I used to.

What does it mean to belong to Christ? It means more than having a personal relationship with Jesus. In Christ, we become part of His people. Ephesians 2 shows us that Jesus breaks down barriers, brings us together, and makes peace possible. Because we belong to Christ, we belong together.

2️⃣ Think about a time when you have felt lonely, left out, or like you didn’t belong. How does knowing that Christ has made you part of His people change the way you think about that experience?

If I’m free from sin’s rule, why do I still sin? Romans 6 gets extremely practical. We’ll see how remembering who we are in Christ changes the way we respond to temptation. Instead of simply trying harder, we can know the truth, consider it true, and yield ourselves to God.

1️⃣ Romans 6:12–13 says not to yield yourself to sin, but to yield yourself to God. What is the difference between simply trying not to sin and actively giving yourself to God?
2️⃣ Think about one area where you regularly struggle with sin—anger, lust, lying, gossip, selfishness, laziness, pride, fear, or bitterness. What would it look like to KNOW → CONSIDER → YIELD the next time you are tempted?
3️⃣ Finish this sentence: “Because I am in Christ, sin is no longer my master. So when I am tempted to ________, I can choose to ________ instead.”

Can I really change? If I’m in Christ, why do I still struggle with sin? The Bible gives us a hopeful answer: Christian growth is not about becoming like Christ through our own strength. Christ lives in us, and as we depend on Him, He changes us from the inside out.

What does being “in Christ” have to do with fighting sin? Romans 6 gives us three simple words: KNOW, CONSIDER, YIELD. Because we are united to Christ, we are dead to sin, alive to God, and free to serve a new Master. But how do we actually live that way?
