THE WILEY SHOW LIVE: Special Guests Rap Duo The Freaky Boiz

THURSDAY AT 7PMCT/8ET CALL IN

Chicago natives Terrance ‘TtGotIt’ Wilson and Pierre ‘Prince Charming’ Phipps met and became best friends while pursuing degrees at Southern Illinois University. In 2010, after discovering a mutual love for hip-hop, they began posting videos of them free-styling over some of the hottest rap singles. “Girlz Be Gagging”, their interpretation of Nicki Minaj’s “Roman’s Revenge”, is a provocative, raunchy track filled with tales of sex and debauchery. While indie gay rap has been around for years, their music began to circulate over YouTube with over 1.8 million views. They have appeared on major radio stations such as The Breakfast Club (New York City) and WGCI (Chicago), magazine articles, and performed across the United States. Critics condemn them for portraying gay black men as being promiscuous and overly sexual. The Freaky Boiz don’t seem to mind, because they embrace the controversy and continue to make provocative music. They’ve continued to produce great music and has launched their first mix tape, “Unleashed”, December 25 of 2012.

THE WILEY SHOW LIVE: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH R&B SINGER LARRY "PHYLLE" CARTER

LARRY “PHYLLE” CARTER II is speaking to a generation. His platform is R&B and the message is simple: love and equality for all people. Hailing from Norfolk, VA by way of Philadelphia, PA (his namesake), Phylle has traveled a path that has taken him from screen to stage and back again, catapulting him to the top of his game as a songwriter, singer, actor, activist and ultimately, a believer. His attitude and work ethic reflect a mantra that says anything is possible if you just put your mind to it. Although this 6’3” crooner loves to laugh and have fun, his laid back demeanor is ever-present in the delivery of his silky-smooth vocal styling.

Drawing inspiration from legends such as Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, and the sultry Aaliyah, Phylle (pronounced Philly) began honing his signature, diversified sound at the ripe age of 11. He states, “Music was my escape as a child. I was very shy and I didn’t fit in. Music is the only thing that gave me comfort.” Having shared the stage with some of the industry greats, this Urban Gentleman is poised to take the industry by storm with his debut single I LOVE HIM,
