  • Scottie Scheffler Is Dominating Golf. Why Are People Asking Him to Do More?
Scottie Scheffler is the No. 1 player in the world and continues to dominate professional golf. So why is he being criticized for not playing even more?

On Golf Live, Trey Wingo and Justin Ray react to criticism of Scheffler for not playing more internationally, including skipping the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, and question the idea that the world's best player somehow owes golf more appearances.
Scheffler already plays more than 20 events a year, had just come through the FedEx Cup Playoffs and has the Presidents Cup immediately ahead of him. He's also choosing to prioritize time at home with his young family — something Trey and Justin don't believe should be held against him.
In fact, that balance may be part of what allows Scheffler to sustain this level of success. The guys discuss why having priorities and structure away from the course could ultimately help extend his run at the top of golf.
Plus, Jacob Bridgeman's win at the Biltmore Championship, Jackson Koivun's strong finish ahead of the Presidents Cup and a look at the first season of WTGL.

  • J.J. Spaun Responded to His Presidents Cup Snub by Winning the BMW PGA Championship

On Golf Live, Trey Wingo and Justin Ray break down Spaun’s victory against what Justin called the strongest field in golf that week, and how the disappointment of missing out on Team USA may have provided some extra motivation.
It’s a feeling Spaun has talked about with us before. When J.J. joined The Wingo Network last year after the Ryder Cup, he explained how much representing a team meant to him — and how you don’t fully understand the weight of playing for something bigger than yourself until you’re actually put in that situation. That makes being left off this Presidents Cup team all the more meaningful, especially considering how he responded at Wentworth.
Trey and Justin also look at the bigger picture of Spaun’s remarkable career evolution. After years of grinding on the PGA Tour, he has developed into a U.S. Open champion, a multiple-time winner and one of the most consistent players in the game.
J.J. Spaun didn’t make the Presidents Cup team. His performance at Wentworth made sure everyone was still talking about him.

On Golf Live, Trey Wingo and Justin Ray break down the biggest questions surrounding the United States and International teams, what the International side needs to do to challenge the Americans, and the players who could ultimately decide the Presidents Cup.
Plus, J.J. Spaun responds to being left off Team USA by winning the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, raising a fascinating question about whether the Americans got their captain’s picks right. The guys also discuss Scottie Scheffler’s schedule and why the world’s top player shouldn’t be criticized for prioritizing time with his family, Jacob Bridgeman’s win ahead of his Presidents Cup debut, WTGL and more.

  • The Seahawks Won the Super Bowl. Now This Comedian Would Trade It All for a Mariners World Series
How much does your favorite team really mean to you?
    Sponsored by Kalshi: https://kalshi.com/r/WINGO
Use code WINGO and get $25 when you trade $25.
For comedian Dustin Nickerson, the answer is pretty simple: given the choice between reaching another level of success in comedy and finally seeing the Seattle Mariners win a World Series, he's taking the Mariners.
Dustin joins Trey Wingo for a conversation about his lifelong obsession with Seattle sports, why the communal experience of being a fan means so much to him and what it was like being in the building for Marshawn Lynch's legendary Beast Mode run against the Saints. He also explains how the Seahawks' second Super Bowl changed the way other fan bases react when Seattle fans complain about the Mariners.
But sports are only part of Dustin's story.
He and Trey get into Dustin's career in stand-up comedy, the years of grinding and bombing that went into building it, how a Looney Tunes bit unexpectedly went viral, and what people don't understand about the amount of work that goes into perfecting just a few minutes of comedy.
They also talk about the NFL's takeover of the sports calendar, Seahawks fandom, Mariners heartbreak and why Dustin would choose a Mariners World Series over reaching Shane Gillis-level comedy success.
Because careers come and go. In Dustin's mind, a championship lasts forever.

  • LIV Golfers Want Back on the PGA Tour. Brian Rolapp Isn't Giving Them an Easy Way In
If LIV Golf's biggest names eventually want back on the PGA Tour, Brian Rolapp is making one thing clear: there may not be an easy path waiting for them.
    Sponsored by Kalshi: https://kalshi.com/r/WINGO
Use code WINGO and get $25 when you trade $25.
On Golf Live, the conversation turns to Rolapp's latest comments about potential returning members and what they could mean for Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau and other players who left the PGA Tour for LIV Golf.
When asked about players potentially returning, Rolapp outlined three principles that would guide the PGA Tour's approach: meritocracy, rules and fairness, and accountability and discipline. He also said the Tour is not currently considering another returning-member program like the previous opportunity offered to players.
That raises the obvious question: what happens if some of LIV's biggest stars decide they want back?
The discussion examines why returning players may have to earn their way back rather than simply being handed an immediate path onto the PGA Tour — particularly after players were previously given an opportunity to return and made their decisions.
    Then there's Jon Rahm.
Recent reports surrounding a potential Rahm return were described as “inaccurate and premature.” It's that second word that caught Trey's attention. If there is nothing happening, why describe the reports as premature rather than simply inaccurate?
Trey breaks down why that specific wording could matter, while the conversation explores what it may — and may not — tell us about what could eventually happen behind the scenes.
For Rahm, Bryson and anyone else considering a potential PGA Tour return, the message from the discussion is straightforward: there may be a road back, but don't expect it to be an easy one.

  • Patrick Mahomes With a Legitimate Running Back Is the NFL’s Worst Nightmare | Inside Football
Patrick Mahomes with a legitimate running game might be the NFL's worst nightmare.

The Kansas City Chiefs entered the offseason with questions about an aging roster and what needed to change around Mahomes. Brett Veach responded by getting younger, rebuilding key areas of the roster and giving Kansas City something it hasn't consistently had alongside its quarterback: a dangerous running game.
On Inside Football, Trey Wingo, Hall of Famer Cris Carter, former Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis and former Cardinals GM Steve Keim break down how Kansas City transformed its roster and why the early returns matter.
Kenneth Walker immediately showed what a legitimate threat out of the backfield can add to this offense. Instead of asking Mahomes to manufacture everything himself, Kansas City can create offense on the ground, stay balanced and force defenses to account for another legitimate weapon.
Steve breaks down why Walker fits what Andy Reid wants to do offensively and why Brett Veach deserves credit for turning over the roster without tearing down the foundation that made Kansas City successful in the first place.
The Chiefs kept the pillars in Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Chris Jones while getting dramatically younger around them. Now the question isn't whether Kansas City can survive a transition. It's what happens if the younger roster works while Mahomes is still Mahomes.
Cris explains why the running game could become the “secret sauce” for this version of Kansas City and how a more balanced offense can change the way defenses are forced to play Mahomes.
The Chiefs didn't start over. They rebuilt around the most important player in the organization.
And if the running game is real, Kansas City may have found another way to make Patrick Mahomes even harder to defend.

  • The Cincinnati Bengals Are Built to Win Now. Joe Burrow Finally Has the Team He Deserves
    Joe Burrow finally has help.
    Sponsored by Kalshi: https://kalshi.com/r/InsideFB
Use code InsideFB and get $25 when you trade $25.
For years, the Cincinnati Bengals have had one of the NFL's best quarterbacks and enough offensive talent to compete with anyone. The problem has been everything around him, particularly a defense that too often forced Burrow and the offense to carry the team.
    This year might be different.
On Inside Football, Trey Wingo, Marvin Lewis, Cris Carter and Steve Keim break down why this Bengals team looks more complete and why Cincinnati may finally have built the roster Burrow needs to make a serious run.
The biggest change is on defense. Cincinnati made that side of the ball a priority, bringing in new personnel including Dexter Lawrence, and the early results were immediate. Against Tampa Bay, the Bengals forced four turnovers and finished +3 in turnover margin. For comparison, Cincinnati was -3 for the entire previous season.
Marvin explains what he saw from the revamped unit, from the confidence and tackling to the way Cincinnati attacked the football. But Cris points out what may be the most important takeaway of all: the Bengals won without Joe Burrow having to be Superman.
Burrow didn't have one of his dominant performances, and Cincinnati still found a way to win. Cris explains why that's evidence of a much better overall football team and why the Bengals may no longer need Burrow throwing for 400 yards every week just to give themselves a chance.
And the help isn't limited to the defense.
Marvin breaks down what getting Mike Gesicki back adds to an offense already featuring Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, and how Cincinnati can use those weapons to dictate matchups instead of simply relying on Burrow to manufacture offense.
Then the conversation turns to Burrow himself and the mental toughness that has defined him throughout his career.
The Bengals already had the quarterback. If the rest of the roster has finally caught up, Cincinnati becomes a very different problem.

  • How the Presidents Cup Could Help Team USA Win the Ryder Cup
The Presidents Cup is about more than winning one week of team golf. For Team USA, it can also be an important step toward the next Ryder Cup.

On Golf Live, we break down how the Presidents Cup can give American players valuable experience before Team USA heads to Adare Manor for the 2027 Ryder Cup.
Jim Furyk has talked about using the Presidents Cup as an opportunity to prepare players for what comes next. For younger players like Jackson Koivun, that means experiencing competitive team golf, match play, enormous crowds and the pressure that comes with representing Team USA — all before potentially facing the unique environment of a Ryder Cup in Europe.
That experience matters. The Presidents Cup gives Team USA another opportunity to learn which players work well together, how they respond to match-play pressure and what can translate when the Ryder Cup arrives.
The conversation also looks ahead to Adare Manor and what Team USA can expect from the 2027 Ryder Cup venue, including the different ways the course can be set up and how preparation now could pay off later.
The Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup are two different competitions, but for Team USA, one could help build the blueprint for the other.
