So we actually have more opportunity to serve and please God through our work each week. Our work can and should be a means of worshipping the Lord, of offering a sacrifice to Him. Some Christians don’t observe a day of rest because they think they can’t afford to take a day off, that work still needs to be done, or that less economic production will be detrimental to their goals or to the expectations others have of them. But this mentality couldn’t be further from the truth. Deeply rested people are the most productive.
