What type of work do you find meaningful?
Perhaps you're good with your hands, you build or fix things easily. Or maybe computers or IT are more your jam. Are you artistic and enjoy creating or designing? Maybe you prefer to work with people.
The fact is we aren't going to find all types of work meaningful. And that's OK.
But what about when it feels like most or all of the work you do (or even your whole life) is meaningless and joyless? Ever been there?
This weekend at CrossWalk Church in Phoenix we are continuing our message series entitled "God's Calling For My Life". For this message we'll answer the question "How does God's calling give me lasting purpose and meaning?"
We will turn to the wisdom of King Solomon found in Ecclesiastes, chapter 2 and also the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians, chapter 1.
We pray you'll come away seeing how God is at work through your work, and He gives you lasting purpose and joy.
Worship throughout your week by listening to CrossWalk’s Spotify playlist. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6oh96lgtXm0f46YtuJHdkL?si=b940ceafb08f49b8
Follow along with your Bible: Ecclesiastes, chapter 2, verses 17-26 & Philippians, chapter 1, verses 21-26.
Song highlight of the week: "Waiting Here for You" by Jesse Reeves, Martin Smith, Chris Tomlin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqZ3_xwJxTY
We sing this song as we are in a time of the "already" and the "not yet" - with receiving salvation from Jesus and entering into God's family, yet we are also waiting for when we returns, and we want to experience his presence in our lives.
The sermon entitled “My Career and My Identity" was done by Staff Minister Phil Bischoff at CrossWalk Church, in part of the “God's Calling for My Life” message series.
