In Proverbs 8:17–21, we explore the "wealth paradox" and the true meaning of biblical stewardship. Pastor Casey McCall explains that while the world relentlessly pursues money and material gain, wisdom teaches that seeking wealth as an ultimate goal only leads to spiritual poverty. True wealth—defined as holistic human flourishing and eternal righteousness—is found only in the person of Jesus Christ, who is the personification of Wisdom.

When we order our loves correctly by putting Christ first, He transforms our relationship with material resources. Instead of using God to get wealth, we use the wealth He provides as a tool for righteousness and justice. Ultimately, our generosity is fueled by the Gospel: the reality that though Jesus was rich, for our sake He became poor so that we, through His poverty, might become truly rich.
