What does it take to rebuild your life—and find your people—after 50?

He joined a gay ski club, a tennis group, a running group, and Gay Fathers of Greater Boston. Slowly, those experiences became friendships, belonging, and a new life.

Is it ever too late to reinvent yourself?

After more than 20 years in real estate, Ray Aubel reached a point in midlife when the career he'd built no longer felt rewarding.

Then the pandemic created space to ask a bigger question: What did he actually want to do with the rest of his life?

That question eventually led Ray to train as a hypnotherapist and positivity coach working largely with the LGBTQ+ community.

Your life can get bigger after 60.

When Jack Kohler’s marriage ended five years ago, he suddenly had to face one of his greatest lifelong fears: being alone.

What followed wasn’t a quick transformation.

Jack filled his calendar because being home alone frightened him. He struggled with Friday nights and New Year’s Eve. He questioned his worth when there wasn’t someone beside him.

Slowly, he began discovering something different.

He could take care of himself.

And as the fear loosened its grip, his world expanded.
