We begin a new series in Proverbs by asking a foundational question: What is the Wisdom? In Proverbs 1:1–7, Pastor Casey McCall introduces us to biblical wisdom—not as mere practical advice, but as a way of life rooted in reverence for God and harmony with His created order. Wisdom is royal, relational, comprehensive, and moral. It shapes how we live, speak, work, parent, plan, and lead.

But Proverbs ultimately points us beyond technique or self-improvement. Scripture makes clear that we do not naturally possess wisdom, nor can we manufacture it on our own. Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, and true wisdom begins by turning from self-reliance to trusting and following Christ. This series will explore how the gospel shapes every area of life—because there is no wise life apart from Him.
