Hello and welcome back to the With Intention Podcast!
In today's episode, I am joined by Stacey Price.
Stacey Price is a community builder, economic development strategist, and the co-founder of Shop Made in DC. What started as an economic experiment—filling a void for local makers who lacked retail space to share and profit from their craft—began in Dupont Circle and has grown into five locations celebrating local talent.
Beyond retail, Stacey is the creator of People Make Place, a philosophy and consulting practice that collaborates with cities, real estate developers, and organizations to harness local creativity and entrepreneurship to build vibrant, connected communities. Today, Stacey joins us to share how small businesses transform neighborhood footprints, how to turn economic strategies into real-world experiments, and why community-first placemaking is the future of urban development.
I hope you enjoy our conversation as much as I did. Don't forget to shop local!
Peace and Love,
Hannah

Welcome back to The With Intention Podcast! I am your host, Hannah Folau. And while every episode is so special to me, this one even more so. In today's episode I am joined by my dad, Spencer Folau.
My dad has sacrificed so much for me and my siblings to give us the life we have now. From Tonga to Idaho to the NFL, my dad shares his life story along with many many lessons he has learned along the way. I feel immense gratitude to be able to have captured this conversation and to know that I will have it forever.
Dad, thank you so much for coming onto the podcast and supporting me in every single one of my dreams. I feel such pride being your daughter. I love you.
We have major milestones to talk about this week! First up: I officially moved into my own studio apartment. I’m out here picking out bath mats and feeling like an absolute mogul homeowner… until the rent check clears and reminds me I’m definitely still a tenant.
But why do I have this intense, compulsive need to have my entire life together at all times? To answer that, we have to dig into the psychological phenomenon that is Eldest Daughter Syndrome. As the oldest daughter and the oldest granddaughter on both sides, I was basically born to manage logistics and overthink everything. Join me as I unpack why I am the way I am, the pressure of being the family trailblazer, and how I'm learning to romanticize my new space.

Hello and welcome to the FINAL episode of 2025! In true Hannah fashion, I reflect on the past year and share my intentions for the new year!
2025 was chaotic to say the least. I faced a lot of low lows, but also a lot of high highs. With challenges comes redirection. And while that can be terrifying, I am so thankful to be redirected towards things, places, people, opportunities that serve me.
2026 is the year of the horse and as a formal horse girl I am pumped. 2026 is all about moving with confidence, authenticity, and a degree of boldness. Listen to today's episode to hear the qualities I aim to embody in this next year and the risks I plan to take.
This podcast truly would not be possible without every single one of you. This is so much more than a podcast to me. It is a community and family. I cannot wait to keep nurturing and building this community with you all in 2026. Thank you for your support throughout 2025, I am so immensely thankful. Happy new years!
Peace and love,
Hannah Folau
