The Wizard On The Waves NOLA

Founded in 2014 by the husband-and-wife duo Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter, The War And Treaty have emerged as one of the most electrifying new acts in American music. With a lionhearted sonic blend – both roaring with passion and tender to the touch – the showcase “pure love that shatters and defies every musical category," (Music Row). Earning respect, they’ve gone on to appear as top-flight collaborators, and have been recognized by the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry and the Americana Music Association as "2022 Duo/Group of the Year.”

I feel extremely lucky to be able to have them on my show. You can find out more about them at www.thewarandtreaty.com

I've had several guests from this label, but today I've got the label maker himself Rob Hudak. We talk about all the bands on the label and share their music. Find out more at fulltiltrecords.bandcamp.com.

With the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, I take the time to reflect on how much I despise aristocracy...and the the music reflects that. Plus I had COVID so I sound strange and I'm slightly medicated. Let's have some fun!!

I didn't have a guest this week, so I'm playing whatever I want..(I kinda do anyway). New stuff from New Orleans artists. Listen to this one!!

This week's guest is David Johnson, Digital Media Editor of Offbeat Magazine and Host of BEATCAFE on WHIV! Man, this guy has some stories. We don't even make a dent in an hour...check it out!

This week's "Special Guest" is Local NOLA Artist, Shawn Williams. She's a Singer/Songwriter, that has been described as Alternative, Americana, Blues, Country, Folk, Indie, Punk, R&B/Soul, Rock, Rockabilly...so what's not to like? Great Interview, absolutely a blast. I also play some 90's music and there's some discussion on serial killers. Check the LINK IN BIO for more info! --The Wizard

I got asked to guest host someone elses show, so I did....

A little musical tribute to two greats that have moved on to the next plane of existence.. Lamont Dozier and Olivia Newton-John. Lamont Dozier was instrumental to the early sound of Motown through the songwriting and production team of Holland-Dozier-Holland. Together they co-wrote and co-produced more songs than I could fit in an hour. (So I just hit the highlights.) Then in the second hour it's all Olivia Newton-John..from Grease to Xanadu and everything in between. They both will be missed. May they Rest In Peace. ---The Wizard

I didn't have anyone scheduled this week so I did an all music day. Played music from all my previous guests, and recorded the show live. ( I didn't edit anything either so you could experience how it is to listen live..haha) Share it will all your friends please...I need more listeners. Thank You.

Holy Crap, I still can't believe this happened. Playing new music and interview with Meschiya Lake!!! No lies, I was extremely excited to have her on the show. Check it out!
