We conclude our discussion of "What does it hurt?". Quite often we are asked this question when people want to engage in unscriptural behavior and have the church condone it.  We bring up some more of these topics and talk about the damage that can occur.

C-Dub talks about how the corporate church world can encourage you to focus on secondary and tertiary things that really don't have much to do with your relationship with Christ, which is the main thing.  Before you try and be some pastor's "armor bearer", focus on being a disciple of Jesus Christ.

For the last 3 years, the Lord has shared with C-Dub some things to look forward to in the upcoming year.  For 2025, He shared with me the prophecy of Simeon over Jesus and to Mary.  In short, there will be contention, the rise and fall of many, and a sword piercing our hearts, and true motives being exposed.

In the book of Esther, Haman wanted to build 75 foot gallows to hang Mordecai on.  It's a tale of revenge and political intrigue.  In today's environment, the social justice crowd would be rooting it on. However there's a moral in this story to be careful in our own lives about being eager to build gallows for others.  Sometimes those same gallows can hang us up as well.  It also behooves us to ask who God is using and why, because as Saul of Tarsus found out, it can be hard to kick against the cattle prods.

We conclude our discussion of Projection by getting into Scriptural examples of projection and how people today will often gaslight you and then play the victim when they're caught.  We also talk about the importance of standards and ideals, despite the fact that we often fall short. A while back C-Dub and Bones talked about the concept of the Ancient Landmark in Proverbs 22:28.  It describes a concept of eliminating conflict and confusion by maintaining standards and ideals-Such is the Word of God.  However, a recent experience caused C-Dub to gain some additional insights on the application and importance of Ancient Landmarks-understanding times and seasons.

In this episode we discuss the principle of projection-where people impute something that they are doing themselves onto others.  This isn't always in a negative sense, but it is rarely the truth and can be harmful.  We talk about some of the ways this manifests and give Scriptural examples.
