  • I Built a Life of Freedom—So Why Don’t I Feel Free? | Ep. 38
I built the kind of life I thought would make me feel free. I work for myself, control my own schedule, and have good people around me. So why don’t I actually feel free?
In this episode, I work through why a simple phone notification can make my whole system go, “What now?”
I’ve been leaving gaps in my calendar in case somebody needs me—then feeling frustrated when they actually ask for my time. The truth is, nobody has been stealing my time. I’ve been leaving it available for them to take.
That realization opens a much bigger conversation about people-pleasing, productivity guilt, personal boundaries, and how much of my self-worth I’ve tied to being useful. I also explore why I struggle to relax without feeling lazy and why working for myself still feels like something I could get “caught” doing.
Maybe structure isn’t the opposite of freedom. Maybe taking ownership of my schedule is what will finally allow me to enjoy the freedom I’ve already created.
If you’re the person everybody depends on, but you can’t relax without feeling guilty, this conversation might hit home.
Follow The Wolverine Lifestyle for more honest conversations about self-trust, identity, relationships, and figuring life out—out loud. If this episode reminds you of someone, send it their way.

  • My Aging Dog Taught Me I Was Wasting the Time We Had | Ep. 37
A simple walk with my aging dog, Jake, forced me to confront how much time I had lost trying to control the experience instead of learning how to enjoy it.
For years, walking Jake felt more frustrating than peaceful. I tried different collars, harnesses and routines, but nothing seemed to work. Then I finally tried an extendable leash—and the experience changed almost overnight.
As I watched Jake happily explore, I recognized something familiar in him. Too much structure makes both of us want to rebel, while too much freedom can leave us without direction. What we actually need is enough structure to feel supported and enough freedom to be ourselves.
In this episode, I work through my need for control, the guilt of lost time, the anticipatory grief that can come with loving an aging dog, and the importance of staying present for the moments we still have.
If you’ve ever struggled with control, regret, self-trust or the pressure to do everything the “right” way, this conversation is a reminder that a different solution isn’t necessarily a bad one. Sometimes life becomes more manageable when we stop gripping so tightly and allow ourselves to try another way.
Subscribe to The Wolverine Lifestyle and share this episode with someone who may need the reminder: we can’t recover the time behind us, but we can choose what we do with the time still in front of us.

  • What If You Don't Have a Productivity Problem | Ep. 36
Have you ever felt like you're doing everything you're supposed to be doing, but you're still not making the progress you want?
I've been feeling that way for a while.
I've been learning, listening to podcasts, consuming personal development content, trying to improve myself—and yet somehow I still felt stuck. I kept telling myself I didn't have enough time to create, think, or actually do the things that mattered to me.
Then I started asking myself a different question:
What if I don't have a productivity problem? What if I have a consumption problem?
I decided to run a little experiment. I removed social media from my phone for seven days and started paying attention to what happened when I stopped filling every quiet moment with something to consume.
    What I discovered surprised me.
My anxiety started coming down. My mornings felt different. I stopped constantly reaching for my phone. I started getting hours of my day back—and, maybe more importantly, I started realizing how much of my life I'd been spending consuming instead of creating.
And it wasn't just social media.
It was podcasts. YouTube. TV. Notifications. News. Information. Even things that were technically “good for me.”
I started realizing that consumption can look incredibly productive while still keeping you stuck.
So in this episode, I'm talking through what I've learned so far about social media, doomscrolling, overstimulation, attention, productivity, and the difference between consuming information and actually living your life.
I'm not telling you to delete your phone.
I'm not telling you that social media is evil.
I'm just sharing what I'm figuring out in my own life—and inviting you to be a fly on the wall while I work through it.
Because maybe you don't need another productivity hack.
Maybe you don't need another book, podcast, course, or morning routine.
Maybe you need to remove something.
If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, distracted, anxious, or like you're constantly trying to improve yourself without actually feeling better, this one might be worth sitting with.
    Welcome to The Wolverine Lifestyle.

  • I Woke Up and Didn't Recognize Myself | Ep. 35
For the longest time, I thought I had to become someone else to be successful.
I spent years trying to build the "perfect" coaching business. I bought the courses, hired the mentors, studied the marketing, and followed every blueprint I could find. Somewhere along the way, I stopped sounding like myself.
This episode marks the beginning of a new chapter.
I'm done trying to perform. I'm done trying to fit into a box that was never built for me. From this point forward, these conversations are exactly that—conversations. No scripts. No pretending. No pressure to have everything figured out.
If you're a man who's ever felt like you've lost yourself chasing success, constantly worrying about what other people think, or trying to become the version of yourself you thought everyone expected, I think you're going to feel at home here.
In this episode, I talk about:
Why I walked away from the traditional self-improvement formula.
The fear of being seen and how it's shaped my life.
How trying to build the "perfect" personal brand caused me to lose myself.
The unexpected inspiration I found watching Theo Von's conversations.
Why authenticity will always outperform perfection.
The new direction of The Wolverine Lifestyle and what you can expect moving forward.
My hope is that these conversations remind you that you're not the only one working through hard things. You don't need to have all the answers today. Sometimes the most important step is simply being honest about where you are.
If you've been looking for real conversations about men's mental health, emotional resilience, relationships, identity, self-worth, and what it actually looks like to grow without pretending you've got it all together, welcome. You're in the right place.
If this episode resonates with you, I'd love for you to subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who needs to hear that they're not alone.
We're figuring it out, one conversation at a time.

  • Who were you before the world hurt you?
That question has stopped me in my tracks more times than I can count, and in this episode, I’m unpacking why. I’m talking about the parts of ourselves we lose when we become self-conscious too young… the joy, the freedom, the play, the movement, and the ability to live without constantly worrying about how we’re being seen.
In this episode, I share some personal memories that helped me realize how early pain, shame, and fear of judgment can shape the way we move through life as adults. I talk about what it means to live in your head instead of your life, how old experiences can quietly frame your identity, and why so many of us end up second-guessing ourselves, holding back joy, and staying guarded without even realizing it.
This conversation is for you if you’ve been:
    - overthinking everything
    - stuck in self-judgment
    - disconnected from joy
    - carrying childhood pain into adult life
    - struggling to feel free, present, and fully yourself
I also get into what it looks like to start reframing those old stories, reconnecting with the parts of yourself that got buried, and taking your power back. Because the truth is, you still have the pen. You’re aware now. You can change the story.
If you’ve been feeling lost, emotionally shut down, or like you don’t even recognize yourself anymore, this episode will hit home.
If it resonates, subscribe to the podcast, share it with someone who needs to hear it, and send me a message with your biggest takeaway.

  • I Stopped Trying to Fit the Mold — Here’s What It Was Costing Me
    I thought I had a marketing problem. I didn’t. I had a living by other people’s rules problem.
In this episode of The Wolverine Lifestyle Podcast, I’m talking to you if you’re a high performer who’s done everything “right” on paper… but still feels stuck, fried, or oddly disconnected from yourself. The truth is, a lot of us aren’t blocked — we’re just following scripts we never chose: hustle culture, algorithm rules, “be more productive,” “say it the right way,” “don’t be seen too much,” “don’t be too much.”
I share what it cost me to keep trying to fit the mold — the templates, the SEO checklists, the constant pressure to optimize everything — and how it quietly robbed me of creativity, peace, and real momentum. Then I break down the deeper root: perfectionism, analysis paralysis, and the fear of judgment that makes you overthink your next move until you don’t move at all.
And here’s the part that hits home: when you get used to performing in one area of life, that performance leaks everywhere. You can be successful at work and still come home with nothing left — emotionally checked out, running on fumes, giving your partner or family the leftovers.
This episode is an invitation back to what’s real: one take, one truth, one lesson. No mask. No script. Just honesty under pressure — because that’s where growth actually happens.
In this episode, we talk about:
Why “following the rules” can make you feel more stuck
How perfectionism turns into overthinking and procrastination
The cost of hustle culture on your peace and relationships
Fear of being seen (and how it shapes your decisions)
A simple self-check to spot where you’re out of alignment
The question that changes everything: What script are you following — and what is it costing you?
If you’ve been trying to force yourself into a version of success that doesn’t feel like you… press play. And when you’re done, send this to someone you care about who’s been living life on autopilot.

  • Muscles Over Emotions: When the Gym Becomes an Escape Plan
You say you want deep love… but you haven’t checked in emotionally with your partner in weeks, even though you haven’t missed a single gym session in months. If that stings a little—it’s meant to.
In this episode of The Wolverine Lifestyle Podcast, I’m pulling back the curtain on a pattern I lived for years—one I now see sabotaging countless relationships from the inside out.
We’re not talking reps, sets, or macros today. We’re talking about the illusion of control, the emotional shutdown hiding behind your “grind,” and the cost of looking strong while feeling disconnected.
I share my personal story—how the gym became my escape from emotional pain, vulnerability, and connection. From chasing the pump to avoiding the hard conversations, I break down how discipline can disguise dysfunction—and what true strength really means.
Whether you’re a man who’s been praised for his consistency while privately battling self-worth, or a woman who feels like you’re losing your partner to his “healthy habits,” this conversation is for you.
    🎧 Inside this episode:
-Why high-performing men often use fitness as emotional armor
-The difference between healing and hiding in plain sight
-What it really means when he’s present for PRs but emotionally absent at home
-How to tell if your "discipline" is actually dysregulation
-A wake-up call for men and a powerful message for the women who love them
-Practical tools I used to rebuild connection, confidence, and emotional capacity
👉🏼 This episode is for the high achievers, the overthinkers, the ones who feel unseen and emotionally exhausted—even when everything “looks fine” on the outside.

  • When Your Nervous System Doesn’t Feel Safe with Love
You say you want a safe, healthy relationship—but when someone actually shows up with kindness, consistency, and emotional availability… you flinch. You overthink. You pull away. And you start wondering, “Am I just broken?”
If that hit a nerve, this episode of The Wolverine Lifestyle Podcast might feel like emotional truth serum.
I’m not here to judge your patterns—I’m here to help you understand them. In this episode, I unpack the hidden connection between your nervous system and your relationships. We’re talking about why love that should feel safe can actually trigger anxiety, shutdown, or self-sabotage... especially for high performers and overthinkers who learned early on to equate love with pressure, perfection, or unpredictability.
    Here’s what we dive into:
-Why you don’t actually have commitment issues—you have a dysregulated nervous system
-How childhood experiences shape your adult attachment patterns (even the subtle ones)
-What “neuroception” is and why your body might be reacting before your brain can reason
-How to stop self-abandoning just to keep the peace in relationships
-The truth about emotional triggers, and how to work with them, not against them
-Real client stories (and mine too) that show how nervous system repair changes love
-The exact tools that helped me—and my clients—rebuild self-trust and finally feel safe in intimacy
This isn’t about fixing yourself to be lovable. It’s about creating safety within so you can receive love without flinching.
If you’re tired of pulling away from what you say you want... if you're exhausted from over-giving and still feeling unseen... if vulnerability still feels like exposure rather than connection—this is your invitation to begin again, from the inside out.
And hey, if you want a practical way to start? Download the free Daily Self-Trust Check-In linked in the show notes. It’s a guided tool to help you reconnect with your needs, regulate your emotions, and build nervous system safety in 5–10 minutes a day.

  • Practicing Peace: The Art of Turning Down the Volume in Your Mind
You ever try to sit in silence and suddenly your brain’s like, “Cool, now let’s overanalyze every conversation you’ve had since 2014”?
    Yeah—been there.
In this episode, I’m getting real about something most high performers avoid like the plague: stillness. I share what happened when I finally stopped distracting myself and tried to be quiet—and spoiler alert—it wasn’t peaceful at first.
Whether you’re the type who can’t stop overthinking long enough to enjoy your success, or you find yourself constantly chasing calm but never quite reaching it... this episode is for you.
I talk about the invisible noise most of us are battling daily, the difference between distraction and self-regulation, and how I’m learning (right alongside you) to practice peace in a world that glorifies chaos.
🔍 In this episode, we explore:
Why silence feels unsafe for high performers and overthinkers
The tools I use to lower mental noise and regulate my nervous system
    Why peace isn’t a destination—it’s a practice
What creating a “quiet life” actually looks like (and why you don’t need to move to the woods to have it)
How to stop outsourcing calm and start embodying it daily
