Welcome to the 1st in a short series of special "revisited" episodes centered around women in hunting! This week, I went way back in the archives all the way to episode 13! Meet Dawn Freeland from Women Hunt, Fish, and Camp too.

If you're a woman who loves hunting, fishing or camping and are on social media, you've likely come across Woman Hunt Too or Women Fish Too at one time or another. They've been around for several years now, and have built up quite a following! On this episode, you'll meet the woman behind it all, Dawn Freeland. Dawn has an interesting story about how she discovered her passion for hunting. There were a few key "ah-ha" moments in her life that led her down this path, and she shares those with us in this episode.
We also talk about what led her to create the Women Hunt Too website and shortly thereafter, Women Fish Too which has expanded even more to include camping as well. Her main mission behind it all is to empower women to get out there and enjoy the great outdoors. As we know, being female in the male-dominated sports of hunting and fishing is not without challenges. We need all the support we can get, and that's what Dawn is all about.

This week I'm excited to welcome Captain Debbie Hanson back to the show. Debbie was a part of putting the 2022 Women in Fishing Meetup together at iCast along with other past podcast guests Bebe Harrison and Dee Kaminski.
