There is a place in scripture where we are clearly shown the value of waiting and the need to trust, believe and hope in Jesus during the silence.  On the Saturday following the crucifixion of Jesus, the scriptures are virtually silent of any of the happenings of that day.  But we do know that the disciples were confused, dazed, hurt, bitterly disappointed and no doubt scared during this silent Saturday.  For they were grieving the cruel death of their friend, their teacher and the one they had believed was their Messiah—the Savior of the world.  They didn’t hear from God and certainly didn’t get the answers they were expecting.  It is in these moments in our darkest hours that we find ourselves sometimes waiting, sorting through unanswered prayers, grief, disappointment, and fear. It is in these moments that we must trust, believe and hope in Jesus.  Join us in this podcast of Woman at the Well Ministries as Kim takes us on a journey through the scriptures unveiling the truth that when we are stuck in our silent Saturdays, we can hold on to the promise that Jesus gave His disciples some 2000 years ago:  joy is coming.  And, it is a joy no man can take away.

    Quotable Kim-isms

“During the silent times, Jesus trusted what the Father had told Him.”

“The more we leave Jesus out, the less truth there is.”

“In our silent moments, if we’re not living in the hope of Jesus, we create more angst.”

“How often do we tuck a scripture away because it convicts us, or clearly says we can’t do something we want to do?”

“You don’t have to approve what the Word of God says, you have to live the Word of God.”

“God wants us to prove His scriptures by living them through your life.”

“When silence is all that we hear, that is the time when our trust is fully experienced.”

Every day we are faced with opportunities to let our light shine or to throw a shadow upon our witness and choose to pass on the privilege of letting our everyday encounters, our normal day to day activities, and our common interactions be an occasion to show the love of Jesus to others.  Perhaps, there is no greater occasion to show Jesus than in those instances when we are frustrated, feel wronged, or have been mistreated by others.  It is in the moments that we are right and choose to do right instead of hammering our point or fighting for the win, that shows Christ’s character the strongest.  Join us in this podcast of Woman at the Well Ministries as Kim takes us on a journey through the scriptures revealing what it means to live peaceably with all men.
