Another brilliant Thursday Next book

Would you consider the audio edition of The Woman Who Died a lot to be better than the print version?

I have visual problems now, so Audible has given me the gift of books again. The narrator is good and a most enjoyable read.

What other book might you compare The Woman Who Died a lot to and why?

The Jasper Fforde books are 'one out of the box'! They have a great deal of literary knowledge in them, are a lot of fun with some wonderful plays on words.

What about Gabrielle Krugers performance did you like?

Gabrielle Kruger has a great, laid back approach to reading Thursday Next that enhances the character and story.

prefer the earlier books

though interesting this book has cut away from the original story line and totally away from the book jumping which for me made up the character of Thursday next. I had a feeling as I listened to it that the author just wanted to finish the series of books and bring it to end, which I guess has happened but not in the way I expected or really enjoyed.

Quintessential Fforde, not so well read

Quirky, witty, highly confusing to anyone who doesn't relax by untangling string. The performance suffered from occasional, jarring lapses of comprehension. Inappropriate inflections inadequately understood sentence structure made this, for me, a very frustrating listen.

Another ace Thursday Next tale

I have been a fan of this series since stumbling on the intriguingly titled "Lost in a good book" .

This is another great story that ties up previous loose ends in classic Nextian fashion while leaving scope for other sequels.

I hope there will be more travels in the BookWorld.

This was the first in the series that I listened to on Audible and I thought the reader performed very well, just like I imagine Thursday to sound.

Fforde still going strong.

I love Jasper Ffirde's stories and hid boundless imagination. Thursday Next continues to entertain and thrill.
