The Woman Within episodes

  • 10. Pregnancy, Loss, and Grief

In this vulnerable episode, Nicole takes us through her journey of navigating pregnancy loss for the first time. She shares the story of what happened in heartfelt detail and brings awareness to the sobering reality that miscarriage happens to more women that we realize. Statistics state that anywhere from 25% to 50% of women miscarry either knowingly or unknowingly.

This unique episode features 3 different conversations that tell Nicole’s story as she processes the experience in real time and sheds light on all the layers of grieving and uncertainty many women face in early pregnancy. Together, Sarah and Nicole explore all the reasons for miscarriage, both biological and spiritual, the unexpected layers of grief, and the idea that every woman who experiences pregnancy loss will move through it in their own time and in their own unique way.

We hope this honest and unfiltered conversation creates more awareness around miscarriage and offers hope to anyone searching for meaning in their own processing of pregnancy loss.

  • 8. Should We Post Our Kids Online? Exploring Child Consent, Safety and Digital Boundaries

This conversation explores one of the biggest questions modern parents face: Should we post our kids online? Rather than offering rules or easy answers, we unpack the nuance behind child privacy, consent, safety, and the evolving role of social media in family life.

Drawing from our own experiences—including navigating public platforms, motherhood, and raising toddlers in the digital age—we reflect on the responsibility of protecting our children's autonomy while also honoring our own need for connection, community, and authentic storytelling. From digital footprints to intuition, we explore what it means to parent consciously in a world that's changing faster than any generation before us.

Whether you're a parent who shares often, rarely posts, or is somewhere in between, we hope this conversation invites curiosity instead of judgment—and helps you think more intentionally about the boundaries that feel right for your family.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • Why one of us decided to stop sharing our child's face online
    • Child consent and respecting your child's future autonomy
    • Digital footprints and what we're creating for our kids before they can choose
    • Safety, privacy, and navigating the realities of social media
    • Fear vs. awareness when protecting our children
    • The role of intuition and discernment in parenting
    • Sharing our children as context vs. making them content
    • The impact of social media on family culture and parent-child trust
    • Statistics around parents posting their children online
    • Modeling a healthy relationship with technology for the next generation
    • Where social media culture may be heading in the future
