  • 10/100 TAKE 2: Amy Wilson. We need more funding.

Ok. It's time to talk women's health and we need to talk about it urgently.
The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation needs our help and Amy is going to explain why.
This isn't just about raising money or awareness.

What I have found is that we just don't know enough and that pap smear isn't going to cover it.
Amy is a curious mind. I guess that's why she is doing the work she is doing.
Bright pink hair. A big smile and a fight in her that we get behind.
No tears with this one but real talk and real womens health and at the end of the day without more funding we aren't going to get answers or cures.

Follow @ocarf on Instagram and start the education process today.

Here are some other helpful links Amy has provided for us.
Here is the Ovarian Cancer Australia (OCA) symptom tracker diary: https://www.datocms-assets.com/102334/1691392879-symptom-diary.pdf

  • 9/100 TAKE 2: Amanda Lee. I believe in Soulmates

    This is Amanda's story.

Growing up in Regional Victoria and meeting the love of her life.

This is one of those love stories where it reads like a fairytale...... until one day it doesn't.

A knock on the door after work changes everything.

A time when people didn't know how to talk about depression or suicide.

A time when you become the talk of the town and while you love everything about that town you can't escape it. When moving away and starting again is the best opinion.

But home is always home and family is everything.

If you ask Amanda- Are soulmates real she will say without a blink of the eye..... Yes.

*This is Amandas story and this episode talks about suicide and depression. These are Amandas words. We know what everyone choses to talk about suicide in different ways. We support Amanda as she shares so bravely her experience.

  • 7/100 TAKE 2 PART 2: Charlene Elsum. You can't order your kid

This is the episode that I realised I needed to pay for zoom so we didn't get cut off, hence why we have a part 1 and a part 2. Forgive me Charlene.

What do you do when you are a new Mum and you just know something isn't right?

How do you get the doctors to listen? Maybe you are 'just tired' grrrrrrrrrrr!

This is Charlene. No fuss, no drama just getting on with it.

This is her and her daughter Goldie. Navigating CDKL5, hemispherectomy, infantile spasms/west syndrome, Lennox Gastaut syndrome, drug resistant epilepsy.

If you have never heard of this diagnosis that is ok. Charlene will explain and wants to. This is as much about Charlene and Goldie's story as it is about awareness.

    This is part two.

  • 3/100 TAKE 2: Sally Mackinnon. Let. Them. Be.

    Just let. Women. Be.

When Sally said this everything just stopped for a moment. The weight of the words.

It seemed to sum up all those thoughts of what to wear, will people talk about me, will people like it, will people judge me. It was a liberating moment. A reminder. When you go to your wardrobe, when you stand in front of the mirror just remember if you feel good the rest will all fall into place.

Do you need to have lots of money or be a celebrity to have a stylist? NO! And Sally will explain why?

From school teacher to fashion and a whole lot in the middle...This is Sally's story.

    FROM KATE.

I met Sally at some crazy time of the morning just outside of work. You know when you know? I had one of those moments and ever since I've been a Sally fan. Her book, her business but mostly her care and nature. What you see is what you get. Some people come into your life at various seasons and I'm so glad she arrived in mine.

I just had to share her with you all.

    Enjoy the episode.

    Luv Kate

PS- Mum (Helen Deppeler) would have wanted to know about black dresses! IYKYK!
