You wear a mask to protect others, they wear a mask to protect you. Simple stuff, if you ask us. But not for Chase Rice, the country singer who had a concert of 1,000+ people during a soaring pandemic with no masks or social distancing required. We'll talk about that, plus Netflix's busy week, and the Supreme Court cases we all should be paying attention to.

The conversation continues. We're getting into what it actually means to "defund the police" and what's possible when we collectively decide to reimagine public safety. (Spoiler Alert: It can be done, white Americans have reimagined policing in this country many times). Plus headlines on white women stepping down from CEO of major companies, Trump getting owned by TikTok teens, and Bobby Berk's refusal to take a nap.

We're back with our new (slightly) shorter format. We're still covering top headlines like the landmark SCOTUS ruling for LGBTQ+ workplace rights, the Bachelor's first Black lead and the recently released "On The Record'' documentary. But most importantly, we talk about the oppressive intersections Black womxn have and continue to face and just some of the ways we collectively fail them daily. 

Our podcast was founded on the idea that these are the kind of conversations we have to have with our friends. You can't learn anti-racism in a week, a year, or a decade. We're committed more than ever to this work, but we're certainly not experts. We encourage everyone to truly work through the many amazing resources that have been shared and continue to center and amplify Black womxn.

After 2.5 years and 134 episodes, we're super excited to announce The Women Wave podcast is getting a makeover! New format, new length, but all the same BIG TALK conversations.
