Spurgeon continues to be in the middle of controversies, though not alone. In this episode we see Spurgeon uniting with seven other ministers in response to men who are beginning to eat away at the fundamentals of the faith. Later this will blossom into the -Down Grade- controversy, as false teachers -give up the atoning sacrifice, deny the inspiration of Holy Scripture, and cast slurs upon justification by faith.- Here are only the first shots fired.
