What is humanism? For many of us, this is an unfamiliar term, and for the few that have heard of it, little is understood about it. In this seminar, Fr. Antony Paul will explore and define this broad concept called humanism, which is actually almost a formalised religion for some atheists, and a philosophical concept accepted by many others. This seminar will give some history about the concept in order to illustrate that it’s a [not-so] silent way of thinking that has pervaded secular society, but more importantly, has also pervaded the thoughts of many of us Christians. We will learn about the dangers of this seemingly innocent philosophy and how society uses this egocentric way of life to appear virtuous.
